Diana Ross has quashed rumors she is to appear in 'Desperate Housewives'.The singing legend was reported to be in talks with producers of the hit US series about filming a cameo on Wisteria Lane. However, Ross insists she has no intention to become a TV actress. She said: "I have never been approached by the people on 'Desperate Housewives' about a part."Ross has also revealed it took her years to learn to balance her work with her family life.The 62-year-old diva - who has raised five children, had several high profile romances and been married once - says allowing time for herself was the eventual key to her happiness. She told Stella magazine: "Taking time for yourself is very important, having time to regenerate. Because I would find that there were years that I would work so hard that I would finally end up getting sick."The former Supremes singer also says she prefers staying at home with her family to going out to glamorous parties. She said: "I like to go to the market. I like to cook. It's a real life when you can have a low profile."
