TOM CRUISE TO WED KATIE HOLMES

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are planning to wed at George Clooney's Italian villa next month.The 'Top Gun' actor and former 'Dawson's Creek' star are said to have decided to tie the knot at the luxury multi-million dollar pad on the shore of Lake Como after enjoying a holiday there last weekend. It is believed Katie, 27, and Tom, 44, opted for an Italian wedding because it was in Rome where they confirmed their relationship with a very public kiss on the set of 'Mission: Impossible III'. According to local newspaper reports, the date of the big day is November 23 and the ceremony will be conducted by a local mayor.Yesterday a source said: "The wedding is scheduled for mid November. Kate had looked at various hotels but the venue is set to be George Clooney's villa."The couple - who have a five-month-old baby daughter, Suri - are also rumoured to have purchased one of the three properties Clooney owns in the Northern Italian village of Laglio. Clooney often invites his Hollywood pals to spend time at his Villa Oleandra residence. Previous guests include Matt Damon, Brad Pitt and his partnerAngelina Jolie and Richard Gere.
