DEATH THREATS FOR HEATHER MILLS

Heather Mills has been given a police panic alarm after receiving new death threats. The estranged wife of Sir Paul McCartney, who has been targeted by Merseyside gangsters, has installed a panic alarm which triggers an"immediate response" from Sussex police. Heather's spokesman said: "She is frightened, but she's more worried about Beatrice than anything else. She has been told who these characters are and the worrying thing is that they have a violent past."The problem is she can't really do anything to protect herself apart from keeping a watchful eye."Police have given Heather safety tips and also spoken to Paul about the threats. A Sussex police spokesman said: "On Thursday December 14, information was received from police in the Merseyside area which indicated a non-specific threat towards Heather Mills McCartney." Police can confirm she was spoken to by officers and was fully informed of the information, including details of the names of individuals involved."Police are satisfied there is no imminent risk to her."Local officers have been briefed regarding the circumstances and provision has been made for an immediate police response should this be necessary."Heather, 38, has been bombarded by death threats and hate mail since her split from Paul in May. She has said she feels "scared" because she has no money to pay for security. Meanwhile, Paul, 64, will be spending Christmas Day with the couple's three-year-old daughter Beatrice, without Heather. A source said: "Heather is absolutely livid. She thinks Bea should be with her on Christmas Day."
