ROD STEWART TO MARRY NEXT SUMMER

Rod Stewart and Penny Lancaster will marry in an intimate Scottish ceremony next summer, it has been reported. Rod, 61, and Penny, 35, have been dating for seven years and have a 13-month-old son Alastair together,will reportedly tie the knot at a picturesque 16th century estate just outside Edinburgh.The 'I Am Sailing' singer apparently chose the traditional Archfield House, which boasts 15 bedrooms, a banqueting hall and 12 additional guest suites to host the ceremony, as it has close links to Rod's Celtic heritage. The singer's father was born just miles from the estate. A source told Britain's Sunday Express newspaper: "Rod and Penny just want a small, family wedding and it seemed appropriate for it to happen at a place with such close links to his father." The couple also hope the location will provide them with some privacy on the big day. The source added: "In addition, the estate is very secluded and is surrounded by pine forests, right on the coast, not the easiest of places for prying paparazzi to get to! Rod may lead a glamorous and international lifestyle but this is his third time up the isle so he's done the wild glitzy celebrity wedding before. He just wants to be with family and friends." Rod was married to actress Alana Stewart from 1979 to 1984. In 1990 the rocker tied the knot with model Rachel Hunter. Their divorce was finalised last month.
