TOM CRUISE THROWING WEDDING PARTY

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are hosting a post-wedding party in Los Angeles on Saturday. The couple - who returned from their honeymoon in the Maldives a week ago -are throwing the cocktail party for friends who were not invited to their nuptials. Cruise's representative Arnold Robinson said yesterday: "The party is for friends who were not able to attend the wedding in Italy."The bash will be held at the home of Tom's producing partner Paula Wagner and her partner Rick Nicita, who is the 'Top Gun's star's agent. Cruise, 44, and Holmes, 27, were married on November 18 at a castle in Bracciano, Italy, near Rome. Since returning from their honeymoon, Katie has met up with close friend Victoria Beckham.The actress took seven-month-old daughter Suri to the Sunset Marquis Hotel and Villas on December 4 to meet the former Spice Girl who has been house-hunting in the area. A friend said: "They talked about how great the wedding was."
