Blues master B.B. King was listed in good condition at a Galveston, Texas, hospital Friday, after complaining of feeling ill. King, 81, canceled his Thursday night concert and went to the hospital on the advice of two local physicians, the Houston Chronicle said Friday. Maureen Patton, manager of Galveston's Grand 1894 Opera House, where King was scheduled to perform, said the doctors who examined the bluesman made the right decision. "He is 81 and he has diabetes," Patton said. "I do think they did what was prudent and best for Mr. King." King apologized for having to cancel Thursday's and possibly Friday's appearances, Patton said. "He told me he felt so badly for me," Patton said. "He is just such a sweet, kind man." King, whose hits include "The Thrill is Gone," "You Know I Love You," and "Every Day I Have the Blues," was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom last month by President George W. Bush.
