JAMES BROWN'S WIDOW SUES ESTATE

James Brown's widow Tomi Rae Hynie is suing her late husband's kids, demanding half of his estate and the return of her son's toys. The singer, who was left out of Brown's will, insists furniture at the South Carolina home she shared with the soul star rightfully belongs to her, and she has been unable to gain entry to the estate to claim it. Last week, Brown's heirs filed an emergency petition asking a judge to remove the trustees handling his estate. They claim the trustees "unlawfully entered the real property of the deceased without authority," and have "taken from the premises papers and/or documents of the deceased." Brown died on Christmas Day.
