RUMOR: MADONNA WANTS TO ADOPT GIRL

Madonna is doing great work with children in Africa

Madonna has met the three-year-old Malawian girl she reportedly wants to adopt. The singer is currently in Malawi with adopted son David and daughter Lourdes and the trio visited the orphanage where the child, called Grace, lives earlier this week. Despite her publicist denying she is to adopt again, Madonna has reportedly told friends she is looking for a sister for David and is considering welcoming Grace into her family. A source said: "Madonna was talking with Grace and looked very happy. They were together for about 15 minutes."The 48-year-old star first saw Grace on DVD footage and fell in love with her immediately. She then asked for a 15-minute film to be made of the little girl, who has no relatives and has been living at the orphanage since she was three months old. However, though she had a successful meeting with Grace, Madonna has not made a final decision on the adoption. She has allegedly met with 10 other children, on the request of the Malawian authorities. A source said: "Grace may not be the child Madonna adopts though she certainly is a favourite. Madonna is considering other children."Madonna's representatives have repeatedly denied the star is in Malawi to adopt again, insisting she is only in the country to do charity work. Publicist Liz Rosenberg said: "Madonna is indeed going to Africa to continue her work with the Raising Malawi organisation. She is overseeing the building of a children's health care center."She is absolutely not adopting another baby. I know that has been a rumor ever since she began the adoption process for her son David but it just isn't true."

MADONNA'S VISIT TO ORPHANAGE CAUSES UPROAR AS REPORTERS GET STONED

Madonna in Malawi

Witnesses in Malawi say orphans threw stones at journalists who tried to follow American pop star Madonna into their orphanage Tuesday. Reports from the Malawian village of Mchinji say the orphans and police had formed a protective ring around the building ahead of Madonna's arrival. There were no reports of injuries from the incident. The disturbance apparently subsided after Madonna made a brief statement to the reporters. The pop star was visiting the orphanage with one-year-old David Banda, the Malawian boy she hopes to adopt. Madonna was expected to meet the boy's biological father during her visit to Malawi, but it is not clear whether that has occurred. Madonna caused controversy when she took the boy home to London after a trip to Malawi last year. Local groups have accused the superstar of using her celebrity status to bypass laws about foreigners adopting children from Malawi. Madonna was eventually granted interim custody of the boy, subject to monitoring by human rights groups.
A spokeswoman for Madonna has denied rumors the singer plans to adopt another child while in Malawi.

ANGELINA JOLIE SPEAKS ABOUT CHILDREN

Angelina Jolie feels more for adopted kids

Angelina Jolie feels more for her adopted children than her biological daughter - because they are "survivors".The 31-year-old actress admits she is more inclined to lavish attention on her adopted children, Pax Thien, Maddox and Zahara, because her 10-month-old daughter Shiloh - her baby with partner Brad Pitt - has had a "privileged" start in life. She told Britain's OK! magazine: "I think I feel so much more for Mad and Zee because they're survivors - they came through so much. Shiloh seemed privileged from the moment she was born. I have less inclination to feel for her. I met my other kids when they were six months old, they came with personality."A newborn really is this - yes, a blob! But now she's starting to have a personality. I'm conscious that I have to make sure I don't ignore her needs because I think the others are more vulnerable."Angelina recently revealed she plans to be a stay-at-home mother to her newly adopted Vietnamese son Pax. She said: "I will stay at home to help Pax adjust to his new life. I have four children and caring for them is the most important thing for me at the moment. I am very proud and happy to be their mother."

BRAD PITT-ANGELINA TO HAVE BABY SOON

The Ideal Family For Brad Pitt And Angelina Jolie

Angelina Jolie may become a mother again within weeks - according to Vietnamese officials. The actress, who wants to adopt for the third time after falling in love with a three-and-a-half year-old Vietnamese boy, has been told by adoption officials that her application is being processed quickly and could be completed by the end of the month. Nguyen Van Trung, director of the Tam Binh orphanage on the outskirts of Ho Chi Minh City, said: "He is in good health. He is a little bit shy but he gets along with the other children and likes playing soccer."Angelina, 31 - who is dating Brad Pitt - has made a solo application to become the child's parent because it is difficult for unmarried couples to adopt under Vietnamese law. Angelina and Brad, 43, jointly adopted two-year-old Ethiopian baby Zahara. Brad is father to five-year-old son Maddox, whom Angelina had previously adopted from Cambodia. The couple also have a 10-month-old biological daughter called Shiloh.Foreign applications to adopt Vietnamese children can face a lengthy and complex screening process.
