SANJAYA MALAKAR TO HIRE BODYGUARD

Sanjaya Malakar : Whats with the painted eyebrows ?
The former “American Idol” contestant Sanjaya Malakar who was finally voted off Wednesday night, believes things, his status in fact, have changed so much that he intends to hire a bodyguard. "I'm definitely ready to hire a bodyguard," he says. "I'm actually looking into that right now."In an interview the morning after his elimination, the one who once threatened the integrity and purpose of the talent show, told reporters that he got an education throughout the competition, and plans to pursue a career in music and acting. Looking tired but relentlessly upbeat about his "Idol" experience, he said the other competitors were like a second family to him. "Everyone [on the show] is a family, we really, truly are very close. The hardest part of leaving was losing this extended part of my family." His time on the show was equivalent to his junior and senior years of high school. He dropped out of high school after his sophomore year and later obtained a GED. "Throughout the competition I grew as a performer and as a person," he said. "I had a lot of things to learn from. I kind of found myself as things progressed. I found myself and got more comfortable in my own skin." "I was just focused on trying to get past each week, I didn't look too far into the future and didn't want to overwhelm myself," said Sanjaya. "I feel like I've grown, and I'm more confident because I have this experience. Practice makes perfect, and I'm ready to get out there and sing some more." However, just like other Idol contestants before him, Sanjaya said he had a hunch about Wednesday’s night boot. "When I saw the show, I had a feeling. I was in the dumps all day on Wednesday and I kind of knew," said Sanjaya. "I'm not a country singer,” he said of his Bonnie Raitt’s “Something To Talk About” performance, “I think that really took a toll on me, and I didn't have enough really strong performances to have people forgive me for that." Idol judge Randy Jackson had thought it was "really just like karaoke... bland and boring;" Paula Abdul had called Malakar a "loveable guy" who "thrives on adversity;" while Simon Cowell slammed his performance as “utterly horrendous" and added it was "as bad as anything we see at the beginning of American Idol." "I'm beginning to sense something here," a grinning Cowell added when Malakar ended up among the last three. When the result was announced, Malakar wiped away tears and got a big hug from LaKisha Jones, the next lowest vote-getter. "I'm fine," he told Ryan Seacrest. "It was an amazing experience." "I can promise you: We won't soon forget you," Seacrest replied. While most people believe it was the “American Idol” haters who kept Sanjaya on the show for so long, the 17-year-old Indian thinks it was his fans alone who voted for him. "I don't think votefortheworst or Howard Stern had enough people voting for me to make a dent in anything. I think the reason why I'm here is the support of my fans." Speaking about the Idol contestants and the outside world, Sanjaya said they are kept busy and isolated. "We're in a bubble . . . . I got inklings every once in a while of something different going on that I guess was a cultural phenomenon, but I don't think it really has hit me yet how big it is."

IDOL PAULA ABDUL'S AIRPLANE TANTRUM

American Idol's Randy Jackson Paula Abdul and Simon Cowell

"American Idol" judge Paula Abdul reportedly threw a "diva-like" tantrum while boarding an airplane recently, telling fellow passengers she was "too famous" to stand in line. Abdul was boarding a Southwest Airlines flight from San Jose to Burbank, Calif., when she reportedly demanded to be given special treatment and board the aircraft first. Eyewitnesses claim the star pushed her way to the front of a line of waiting passengers as one disgruntled commuter shouted, "You're no Sanjaya! You have to board like everyone else."A source tells MSNBC.com's the Scoop, "She pulled a major diva trip. The other passengers were not amused. She asked to be let on the plane and seated first."Abdul's spokesman has refused to comment.

AMERICA'S OBSESSION WITH AMERICAN IDOL SANJAYA MALAKAR IS GOING STRONG

Sanjaya Malakar has taken America by storm !

While many may consider him vocally challenged, there is no doubt that Sanjaya Malakar is becoming the biggest obsession of Americans that is making its way into national political debate. While presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton is asked if she would vote for the 'American Idol' wannabe, one of the leading newspapers, the Los Angeles Times, ponders in an editorial 'What's Saving Sanjaya?'During a radio call-in on Wokq-FM, the New York Senator was asked what the United States can do about Sanjaya, the television show's underdog who has confounded his critics by surviving deep into the voting on this season's program."That's the best question I've been asked in a long time," Clinton said. "Well, you know, people can vote for whomever they want. That's true in my election, and it's true on American Idol". Meanwhile, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi joined the national bandwagon when she appeared on NBC's 'Tonight Show' with Jay Leno, where she apologised for being late. She'd had to cast a critical vote, she explained to the late-night talk-show host. Leno said he understood democracy takes precedence, but Pelosi said it wasn't that - she had to cast a vote for 'American Idol' contestant Sanjaya Malakar.Everyone seems to have a theory about what's behind this season's Sanjaya surprise. Some say it is the teenyboppers who are in love with Sanjaya's flowing locks, while others blame shock Jock Howard Stern and other such people who are promoting Sanjaya to wreck the credibility of the program, which is watched by some 30 million people. Another conspiracy theory making round is that Indians working in call centers are flooding the phone lines in support of the 17-year-old Indian-American.The Los Angeles Times explains that Sanjaya is the lightning rod of this year's show, may be because "he's such a good sport"."Although all idol contestants must suffer public judgment with a smile, Malakar's grin seems to be that of an ingenuous, bewildered kid instead of a well-coached contestant. His flamboyance such as that surprise Trojan-helmet-like 'ponyhawk' hairstyle is tempered by a timidity rarely seen on national TV," the paper said in the editorial."Malakar may win nothing more than a hair-product endorsement. But he will have shown that even in a genre dependent on egomaniacs who display highly scripted humility, a plain old good sport can survive for a while".Whatever be the reason, the controversy is proving to be good for the TV reality show. As one TV network put it "whatever effects these things have, if any, Sanjaya is now officially the most interesting thing about 'American Idol'. He is not the best singer, the best dancer, or the most engaging personality. But Sanjaya has in some ways begun to embrace those things that people ridicule, and that makes him far more remarkable than the assortment of cardboard cutouts alongside him".

HALEY SCARNATO THROWN OFF WHILE SANJAYA MALAKAR CONTINUES TO ROCK !

Haley Scarnato leaves American Idol

This year’s “American Idol” gets closer to an end, but another contestant, Haley Scarnato, got voted off the show while Sanjaya Malakar continues to rock and roll into the hearts of America. Failing to impress the judges with her performance of disco classic “Turn the Beat Around,” the 24-year-old from San Antonio left the show saying "My life changed and it truly was a blessing and I'm very thankful." She vows to continue her career is is very happy with the chance she was given on American Idol. "The bad comments are hard, but it helps to know there are people out there who like me and support me," Scarnato added. "I'm hoping for anything to come my way. This has been a great experience with great exposure and I'm up for anything. I would love to get a record deal, it would be a dream come true," she said. In this performance, it wasn’t just the singing that was criticized by the jury, Scarnato’s outfits, which include sexy low-cut tops to short-shorts, were picked on as well. Simon Cowell implied Scarnato tried to take advantage of her looks to stay in the competition. (even know Sanjaya looks better) "I think you have a very good tactic at the moment, Haley: Wear the least amount of clothes as possible," Cowell said of her performance. Scarnato reportedly didn't speak to Cowell following her exit on Wednesday night. "I didn't go shorter. I didn't wear less clothes," Scarnato said. "... I never changed my look from Hollywood week [when] I showed my midriff a bit." She claimed in an interview she was trying to stay true to her roots: "I just tried to do the best I could do, and that was that," she said. "It hurts of course; its just legs. It's frustrating because I'm trying to perform and it was a singing competition and I thought they weren't listening to me anymore. You can't please everybody," she said in a press conference the day after her elimination. She also defended her choice to wear her skimpy outfits. "It's fun dressing up and playing the part of the theme week, and the song you are singing. With Latin week it's more of a sexier vibe," says Scarnato. "I don't think I wore less clothes than before. I think I stayed true to who I am." Post performance, Cowell commented: "You naughty little thing." Scarnato quipped she would have tried a new look on the show's upcoming country-music night. "If I was going to be here next week, I was going to wear a choir robe," Scarnato said. However, let’s not forget about Sanjaya Malakar, this season’s man of mystery who successfully managed to escape elimination, moreover, he wasn’t even voted among the bottom three. According to TMZ.com, former Idol contestant, Paris Bennett said she hopes Sanjaya will win, calling the contest a joke. "We want to see Sanjaya win because it'll kind of prove that 'American Idol' is kind of losing its taste," says Bennett, "it kinda isn't going for talent anymore and more for popularity."

SANJAYA MALAKAR STILL ROCKING IDOL !

Make Sanjaya Malakar win so Simon quits !

Sanjaya Malakar, whose cringe-inducing vocals on "American Idol" have launched a thousand jokes on late-night TV and millions of fiery postings on Web sites, made it through another week Wednesday. After more than 30 million votes were cast following Tuesday's performance show, fellow "Idol" performer Gina Glocksen was sent home Wednesday, reducing the field to eight. For the fourth straight week, Malakar didn't even finish in the contest's bottom three despite a performance in which he strangled and left for dead all the high notes in Irving Berlin's "Cheek to Cheek." This week's vote guarantees the lush-haired Sanjaya - his last name has largely been lost along the way - another seven days of shelf life as a pop culture phenomenon. The buzz around "American Idol" contestant Sanjaya Malakar doesn't mean he'll win the Hollywood competition, the show's executive producer says. Ken Warwick said hype on the Internet and the radio won't affect "the vast numbers of votes we get," which aren't revealed, the New York Daily News reported Wednesday. Shock jock Howard Stern and the Web site votefortheworst.com have pushed "to get a bad contestant as far as possible," the votefortheworst Web site said. But Warwick said the "anti" vote wouldn't make up the difference between Malakar and the people ahead of or behind him in the weekly call rankings. "Say what you want about Sanjaya, he hasn't a bad voice," Warwick said. "Personally, I don't expect him to be there in the end. But it's not up to me, it's up to the public."

SANJAYA MALAKAR STILL AMERICA'S IDOL

American Idol's Sanjaya Malakar keeps on going !

Sanjaya Malakar has lived to see another round of "American Idol", prompting a passionate debate over whether America's most watched TV show has lost its credibility or unwittingly created another media superstar. Malakar, 17, was easily voted through by the public to the final 9 of the 6th season of the singing competition on Wednesday after becoming one of the most-talked about people on U.S. television. In the past three weeks, Malakar moved a 13 year-old girl to tears on national television, inspired a one woman hunger strike, smiled through vicious comments from Idol judges and delivered almost as many different hair-dos as off-key notes. Far from being booted off the show by the 30 million strong "Idol" TV audience, which eliminates one of the contestants each week, Malakar appears to be going from strength to strength. Even British judge Simon Cowell, who quipped last month that he would quit if Malakar won the competition, appears to have succumbed. "Sanjaya, I don't think it matters anymore what we say...I think you are in your own universe and if people like you, good luck," said Cowell after Malakar's startling mohawk hairdo overshadowed another less than stellar singing performance on Tuesday. Maverick Web site www.votefortheworst.com (VFTW) claims much of the credit for "saving" Malakar on what it calls "America's largest karaoke contest." The Web site's mission, picked up and promoted by radio shock jock Howard Stern, is to "have fun with 'American Idol' and embrace its suckiness" by encouraging people to vote en masse for the worst contestants. But popular culture expert Robert Thompson said he doubted Stern's audience had the patience to negotiate the famously busy signals on "Idol" phone lines. "Sanjaya is a really cute kid with a unique look and an incredibly dreamy smile that can get thirty 12-year old girls to vote a million times apiece on speed dial," said Thompson, director of the Center for the Study of Popular Television, in Syracuse, New York. "I don't think he injures its credibility at all. 'American Idol' has never been about a scientific way of producing the very best vocalist of our time. It has been a silly, fun, really well-produced talent competition and you never quite know what's going to happen," Thompson said. Some diehard "Idol" fans, who have seen past contestants find success at the Grammys, the Oscars and the Country Music Awards, were not so convinced. "Faithful watchers will stop watching if Sanjaya is not sent home. The whole purpose of this show is being undermined by a lot of people who have lost sight of (or more likely couldn't care less about) the ultimate goal....for the BEST SINGER to win!!!!," wrote one fan who used the name Kshenk on the www.americanidol.com message board.

SANJAYA MALAKAR CONTINUES WITH HAIR

Sanjaya Malakar is 'American Idol'

Flowing hair and a precious smile have their rewards. Especially if you‘re Sanjaya Malakar, who is considered one of the weakest performers on "American Idol" but has a fan base that has helped him survive multiple rounds of viewer elimination. "I think he has a career ahead of him, whether he wins or not," said Pastor Pat Wright, a gospel choir director in Seattle who has known Malakar for five years. "He‘s very handsome. That‘s most of it," she said. "He‘s a teenager, and young girls and guys really like him." Simon Cowell went so far as to say if Malakar wins, he‘ll quit. "He sings from the heart, and people who hear him can feel that heart and they become, many times, very emotional," said Wright, who has directed Malakar in her choir for at least three years. "He has not shown America what he can do. That‘s what I said to him a couple days ago. ‘I want you to give them the showmanship. I want you to give them Sanjaya‘s heart,‘" she said. Recchi introduced Malakar to Wright‘s choir, where she says his musical personality blossomed. But she agrees that her nephew hasn‘t been performing his best. Malakar‘s singing talents may pale in comparison with other finalists, but his ability to work the crowd may pull him through. Malakar‘s most recent performance of "You Really Got Me" showed the teen‘s strong stage presence, said Emmons, who has 10- and 13-year-old daughters who watch the show.

PLEASE SHUT UP NON IDOL SIMON COWELL

The Real Boss Bruce Springsteen

Simon Cowell says he is bigger than The Boss. In an interview to be screened on CBS’s 60 Minutes program in the US on Sunday, Cowell, who is also a judge on the American Idol series, says he is worth five times more to Sony than Bruce Springsteen.“I sell more records than Bruce Springsteen, sure,” Cowell says of the 57-year-old rocker, who signed a contract that was reported to be in the neighbourhood of $100million .“I mean, in the last five years, I’ve probably sold over 100 million records. If (Springsteen) got $100 million, I should have got $500 million,” he says. Cowell says he sells all those records because he has signed “the biggest artist on the planet” – Fox network’s American Idol. “Every single ’Idol’ winner is now signed through Sony BMG,” says Cowell. “And this applies to … all the countries … we sell Idol to, which is over 30 countries.”Albums by American Idol winners and runners-up are distributed by labels within the Sony system through a deal between Clive Davis and 19 Recordings Unlimited, the label managed by American Idol creator Simon Fuller. Interviewer Anderson Cooper asks Cowell, 47, whether his deal with Sony is in the same neighbourhood as Springsteen’s.“A hundred million … that’s a great deal,” Cowell says. Was he referring to himself or Springsteen?“For him,” Cowell says, grinning. “For him it’s a good deal.”

DIANA ROSS PERFORMS ON AMERICAN IDOL WHILE SANJAYA MALAKAR HANGS ON

Diana Ross On American Idol
American Idol contestant Brandon Rogers, who forgot the words to his song on Tuesday's ode to Diana Ross "American Idol," was eliminated in the first round of finalist voting. Rogers, a former backup singer from Los Angeles, became the first of the final twelve to be voted off the Fox network monster hit."I have no hard feelings," Rogers, 28, said on stage. "I kind of expected it." Rogers said he made a "cardinal sin" by missing some of the lyrics of the Motown classic "You Can't Hurry Love." Ascerbic judge Simon Cowell had said his performance was dull and uninspired. Sanjaya Malakar and Phil Stacey were the other two who rounded out the bottom three. The votes in the phone ballotting drew about 28 million calls and text messages. The 17-year-old Malakar, of Federal Way, Wash., has managed to keep hanging on still perplexes a lot of viewers. His rendition of "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" was berated by a tortured Cowell who gave the nice kid credit for being "brave." Stacey, 29, a native of Jacksonville, Fla., sang "I'm Gonna Make You Love Me" and he still reminds me of the late actor Klaus Kinski on a good day. Motown diva Diana Ross, who coached all the contestants this week sang "More Today Than Yesterday," from her latest CD, "I Love You."

MORE AMERICAN IDOL SCANDAL AS MARIO VASQUEZ SUED FOR MASTURBATING

Give American Idol's Mario Vasquez A Hand !

Former "American Idol" finalist Mario Vasquez is facing accusations that he tried to masturbate in front of a male employee in a bathroom on the set of the hit show in February 2005. Shortly thereafter, Vasquez mysteriously dropped out of "Idol," citing personal reasons. The lawsuit filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court, Vazquez allegedly "sexually harassed" Magdaleno Olmos, assistant accountant for Fremantle Media, the company that produces American Idol. In the lawsuit, Olmos claims "Vazquez stared lasciviously, smiled lasciviously ... and on one occasion followed him into a bathroom ... knocked on the door of the plaintiff's stall and made eye contact through the space in the stall door."The lawsuit alleges that Vazquez "started to rub his genitals over his pants. Attempting to leave the bathroom, Olmos opened the door of the stall and saw Vazquez standing in front of him with his pants down masturbating."According to the documents, Vazquez pushed Olmos "further into the stall and continued masturbating with one hand and trying to pull down Olmos' pants with another hand." Olmos claims that he tried to "cover his body with his hands" but Vazquez touched his "chest and stomach underneath his shirt, and Olmos' "genitals" as Vazquez "attempted to unzip" Olmos' pants. Vazquez then allegedly asked Olmos "if he wanted oral sex."In the lawsuit, Olmos claims that as he "managed to get out of the stall, and attempted to leave the bathroom," Vazquez, grabbed his arm "in an effort to stop him." Vazquez continued to call Olmos to come back as Vazquez "stood in the bathroom with his pants still down."In the suit, Olmos claims that he tried to report the incident to a superior named Eric LaPointe, who allegedly responded by telling Olmos that "he was crazy" and "repeatedly threatening to fire" him. A few months after the incident, Olmos claims he was "terminated."In addition to suing Vazquez, Olmos has named FOX Entertainment and Fremantle Media as defendants in his lawsuit for wrongful termination.

THE FINAL ROUNDUP OF AMERICAN IDOL'S ANTONELLA BARBA'S NAKED PHOTOS

The Naked Rose Antonella Barba
Antonella Barba's Lesbian Pose

I have never enjoyed working on a story as much as American Idol's Antonella Barba naked and nude photos scandal. She gave us something to talk about. Though Simon Cowell didn't seem to care one way or another, the show got more publicity than ever before. The wild photos made Antonella Barba a household name. We loved to talk about her and loved her toilet photos. Just as good, was the shot of her giving us the finger, like all role model American girls do. Most likely, these photos made her career, at least for now. Maybe years down the road, she will laugh at how much media these pictures got. To you Antonella, Good Luck !

SANJAYA MALAKAR NEXT AMERICAN IDOL ?

Seventeen-year-old Sanjaya Malakar of Federal Way is one of 12 finalists competing for a record contract on "American Idol." The show's tense final moments Thursday night focused on Malakar and Jason "Sundance" Head, who were competing for the No. 12 spot. The judges were surprised when viewers voted Head off the show, complementing him on his singing as they showed him the door. Simon Cowell has criticized Malakar for his "weird" stage presence and his singing hasn't attracted the same kind of praise some of his competitors have received. Among the 24 semifinalists was another Federal Way contestant, 22-year-old Amy Krebs. She was voted off the show on Feb. 22.

JENNIFER HUDSON STRIKES SIMON COWELL

Jennifer Hudson Can't Stand Simon Cowell

Oscar-winner Jennifer Hudson has hit back at "American Idol" judge Simon Cowell, comparing her experience on the talent show to working at Burger King. Hudson -- who was a contestant on the show in 2004 -- was rejected and tipped for failure by Cowell. When she went onto Oscar success through her role in "Dreamgirls," Cowell accused Hudson of failing to appreciate the "big opportunity" her appearance on the show offered her. But Best Supporting Actress Hudson snaps back, "If I'd been any better at my job when I was at Burger King in my middle teens I wouldn't be here either, so should I thank them, too?"

NAKED NUDE AMERICAN IDOL ANTONELLA BARBA VOTED OFF HIT SHOW

New Jerseys own Antonella Barba of Point Pleasant learned last night that she would not be one of the show's final 12 contestants. That came one day after the show's judges had given subdued reviews to her performance of "Put Your Records On" by Corinne Bailey Rae. After hearing the viewers' decision, Barba became emotional as host Ryan Seacrest asked her what memories she would take with her. "So many memories, too many, I can't even think about it now," Barba said. "So many memories, but great ones." Barba had drawn intense media scrutiny over some racy pictures — purported to be of her — that were posted on the Internet last month. The publicity has helped her career though. She has offers from several video and magazine companies and she is one of the most talked about contestants American Idol has ever had.

We are going to miss the adventures of American Idol Antonella Barba !

AMERICAN IDOL'S OTHER STAR AMANDA COLUCCIO SPEAKS TO TIMES SQUARE GOSSIP ON OCEAN 98'S RUDE AWAKENING SHOW

Antonella Barba with friend Amanda Coluccio

Well I got the supprise of my life today while I was doing one of my regular Radio Gigs on Maryland's top radio station Ocean 98. The morning show "RUDE AWAKENING" with hosts Bulldog (left with James Edstrom) and Snoopy really put me to the test about www.TimesSquareGossip.Com . They were questioning me about the photos I have posted on my site of American Idol contestant Antonella Barba, asking me if they were real. I explained they were, then next thing I knew they had former American Idol contestant Amanda Coluccio, Antonella's best friend on the air with me.
I guess they woke her up when they called her. She was throwing up and choking on the phone, and Bulldog kept asking her if they got her at a bad time, she kept saying how sick she was. But instead of Bulldog saying, we will call another time, he went on to his grilling about American Idol and Antonella Barba. Amanda said the pics on my site were real, but the oral sex photos making their rounds were fake and of some other porn star which she knows. They were not Antonella Barba ! We I asked her if Antonella would do Playboy magazine as it has been reported, and she said no way. Antonella is too shy and besides her parents would die. It will never happen. Then she said she would for the right money. She asked,"How much do they pay" and I told her I thought it was around 85 thousand for a first timer. She replied "I want a 100 thousand, and I will do". We asked her why there were'nt pictures of her floating around the internet and she said "Im too smart".
Amanda is also no big fan of Rosie O'Donnell. When Bulldog asked her what she thought of Rosie's comments, she said she did not care what Rosie thought, she was just jealous of Antonella because she does not look so good. When Bulldog said "weren't there naked pics of Rosie floating around years ago', Amanda said if she saw them she would vomit. We then asked her why no lawsuit over all the pics, she said that it has helped Antonella's career and everyone just wants it to go away. I asked Amanda to send me a couple of pics of her, she bounced back with "what you going to use them for". She said,"they compare me to Antonella who is beautiful, but I'm beautiful too ! " We went to her website and we looked at pictures of her. She is ! And shes a real nice girl too. She's also a good friend to Antonella. Thanks for talking to us and I'm sending a e-mail to Hugh Hefner to get you your Playboy spread !

MORE NAKED NUDE PICTURES OF AMERICAN IDOL'S ANTONELLA BARBA IN LESBIAN POSE

Antonella Barba's Lesbian Stand !
Is Antonella Barba Our Next American Idol ?

As more naked and nude pictures of American Idols Antonella Barba surface, there talk of her posing for Playboy . Laura Saltman of Access Hollywood was at the Playboy Mansion for the party celebrating the season three premiere of the E! channel's 'The Girls Next Door', and asked for the Playboy boss's take on the Antonella Barba racy photographs online controversy. After showing Hugh Hefner the photos, he remarked, "She really looks sexy here." Asked if he would consider making Antonella an offer to pose for Playboy should she be voted off 'Idol' early, Hef answered, "Very real possibility. Yes, absolutely." But all of that is going to have to wait at least another few days as Antonella was not voted off of American idol despite predictions of her demise. The New Jersey babe is safe and survived the week two cuts. Hefner, who knows a thing or two about nudity in photos, says calls for 'American Idol' to remove the 20-year-old's saucy pictures "hypocritical and dumb." Hefner told USA Today, "I think in America we have a very strange attitude toward sexuality and nudity, and it makes no real sense." I'm about 90% sure that Playboy is seriously at work on getting the Point Pleasant Beach babe for its summer issue. It's really not complicated: She'll get booted next week, and then possibly fly to California for her Playboy shoot by the end of the month. Hef will have her on the cover of the May or June issue of Playboy.

THROWN OFF 'AMERICAN IDOL' CONTESTANTS SPEAK ON THE SHOW AND FUTURE CAREERS

Naked Antonella Barba Survived Scandal

Four American Idol contestants were eliminated from the show the other night by the votes of America, paring the field down from 20 to 16.Those contestants were Nick Pedro, Alaina Alexander , AJ Tabaldo, and Leslie Hunt. Here is a recap of what transpired.

Booted Off Nick Pedro
Nick Pedro: He thought maybe not enough people voted, maybe they assumed he was safe. Song choice is probably the key thing. He didn't think he sounded like a crooner, but he went back to the judge's suggestion and did the "Fever" song and got a really good reception. "Hopefully it's the beginning of a few other things." Other contestants were telling him they thought he was safe. Last year he was just completely exausted from the schedule of the Hollywood round...was totally spent. He didn't want to be remembered that way and wanted to prove to himself and the world how good he really could be. It's bittersweet because he's really bummed to go home. The show has made Nick realize just really how passionate about music he is. Everyone else seemed to have some type of performace experience and he had zero. I have no regrets. I think being charming and charisma go hand in hand. I was just going to take my bow and sing my song and not have it out with anybody. I wanted to always maintain my honor. "When we sing, it's just kind of like we're naked up there."
Alaina Alexander: Aliana had nothing political behind her song and she hoped that didn't hurt her in any way. If she could do it over again she would be more educated in song chioce. She'd always written and played her own guitar and sang her own songs and while Nigel told her that in these first few performances you could do what you wanted, if you could get it cleared so she could have done her own song, she thought she'd wait. She always just tried to be herself and maybe it was just the song choice. Since everybody is cute, she doesn't know what it comes down to; it's so unpredictable. In regards to Antonella, Aliana noted that going into the show you let them know everything, so that if anything comes up, they can get your back. She also said that Antonella is "a trooper, she's strong, she's going to be just fine." "I love being creative, I love the fast pace...we'll see what happens" "Im not waiting for anybody." "It really hasn't set in that everyones seen me cry". It's hard the first time taking criticism from the judges. She's going to miss the fast pace. "What people dont understand, we are with each other every single day, we do things individually so when we're all together hanging out and waiting, its kind of like being in a fraternity."
AJ Tablado: Tried out five separate times, and he says that his family has been there for him throughout his journey. He doesn't regret his song choice (the same song as Leslie) and thinks that, since the judges enjoyed it, you can't blame the song for his elimination. AJ Tabaldo sees himself as having a big future as a singer and he won't be quitting any time soon. He's open to singing national anthems or whatever he needs to sing to succeed in the business. AJ finds the elimination days much more nerve-wracking than the performance days. AJ admits that he was surprised that he was voted off, but also says that he thought it was a possibility and that you just never know. AJ says that, contrary to what some might say, what the judges say really do mean a lot. While AJ is Phillipino, he is not fluent in the language, but is very in touch with Phillipino culture.
Leslie Hunt: Leslie has no idea why she was eliminated from the show last night, because she's just not too familiar with American Idol. She knew it was going to be tough but she was very surprised with the outcome. She thinks it was possibly because she isn't very mainstream and that maybe the American public couldn't identify with her. It was a risk that she felt she should take and that maybe she doesn't know America that well. She has Lupus, but also had an adverse reaction to a yellow fever vaccine in Brazil that almost killed her. She thought the dedications before each performance were very tough and "added to the drama of the whole thing." She wishes she had dedicated it to someone less emotionally tied to her but understood the theme among the girls to dedicate the song in a very emotional manner. She loves to laugh and found that in American Idol it's so easy to get stifled or be worried about the way you act. She was very honored to be admist such great performers. She can't say who she's backing because she feels evenly about everyone. Her and her best friend on the show, Gina, were really emotional at the end of the show and they were both sorry to be leaving each other and Leslie hopes that she'll do well because she deserves it.

AMERICAN IDOL'S NAKED ANTONELLA BARBA MOVES TO NEXT ROUND WITHOUT TOILET !

Antonella Barba Performs On American Idol
Naked American Idol Contestant Antonella Barba

"American Idol" fans have sent Antonella Barba to the next round of the talent contest, despite a thumbs-down from judges and Internet photos putting her at the center of the latest sex scandal to hit U.S. TV's most popular show. Barba, 20, the attractive former college student purportedly shown in various stages of undress in a batch of online pictures circulating on the Web, emerged as one of 16 finalists to make the cut on Thursday night as four fellow contestants were voted off the competition. "Idol" fans have flooded online chat rooms and blogs in recent days buzzing over whether the photos really are of Barba and whether they might get her kicked off Fox network's singing contest. "Idol" producers have shrugged off the controversy, and no mention of the scandal was made during Thursday's show. But it was not until the end of the broadcast that the fate of Barba was revealed, when host Ryan Seacrest called three women to the front of the stage to announce which one was out. Many were surprised that Barba, whose singing talents have failed to impress the show's panel of celebrity judges, made it this far. Others have said her level of talent may not be so important at this stage of the show. "If a sex tape of Antonella makes the Internet she could win this competition ... now that would be rather humorous," said entertainment news blog Bumpshack following the show. The anonymously posted Internet images include those of a young woman lying on her back covered in rose petals, posing in her underwear, sitting on a toilet and sitting among a group of topless women on a beach, hands over their breasts. Others show a woman performing oral sex on a man. Though all are purported to be pictures of Barba, none of the subjects of the photos has been positively identified. The scandal was reminiscent of the situation in 2003, when contestant Frenchie Davis whose powerhouse vocals dazzled the judges, was dismissed from the show following the discovery that she had posed topless on a porn site. Fox, a unit of Rupert Murdoch's News Corp., has declined to comment on the latest scandal. But judge Simon Cowell and fellow producer Nigel Lythgoe said in separate media interviews this week that Barba's fate is up to fans who vote on the contestants. Barba, who hails from New Jersey, has kept mum about the photos. But her friend Amanda Coluccio, a fellow "American Idol" hopeful eliminated from the contest earlier this season, said that only the least graphic photos in question are authentic. Those, including the rose-petal shot, were taken for a calendar the former architecture student made for her boyfriend, Coluccio told the New Jersey Star-Ledger. The more provocative photos on the Internet are of someone else, she said. "I've studied them. It's not her nose. She's never had (acrylic nail) tips in her life. She's the least slutty person I know," Coluccio was quoted as saying. "American Idol," the most watched U.S. television series during the past four years, averaged more than 27 million viewers for Thursday night's broadcast, according to Nielsen Media Research.

FRIENDS OF AMERICAN IDOL TOILET SINGER ANTONELLA BARBA SAY PICS NOT HER

ANTONELLA BARBA LETS GO

Is It Or Not Antonella Barba ? You Decide !

A close friend of "American Idol" semi-finalist Antonella Barba says that the aspiring singer is not the subject of some graphically sexual pictures purported to be of her that were posted on the Internet last week. Barba's best friend, Amanda Coluccio of Holmdel, with whom she auditioned and won a trip to Hollywood for the second round before being eliminated, told The Star-Ledger of Newark that the less graphic photos are of Barba, but denied she is pictured in the pornographic ones. Meanwhile, here in the 20-year-old's hometown, where signs abound wishing her good luck, friends and strangers alike are supporting Barba, saving their condemnation for whomever posted the pictures online. The fallout has many young people here thinking twice about posing for photos they thought were just to be shared among friends. "It's the way this town is: Everybody knows everything about their friends," said Mark Dillon, 17. "At least half the people in this town have pictures of their friends on the toilet. I've personally seen at least 20. It's only because she's on TV that they're online." Adam Bobertz, also 17, said what happened to Barba could happen to anyone. "Everyone in this town has done something stupid at one time or another," he said. Throughout Point Pleasant, a Jersey shore town of 18,177 about 60 miles north of Atlantic City, signs supporting Barba are many. They went up before the photos surfaced, and remain there, a symbol of her hometown's disdain for the commotion surrounding her. Jacqui Reid, a florist whose daughter took violin lessons from Barba, said making the photos public was a gross invasion of privacy, but one that has become a fact of life in the digital age. "Everyone has incriminating photos of one sort or another, and you never know when it's going to turn around and bite you on the you-know-what," she said. "It's a shame you can't just live your life and not have to worry about something like this becoming public. "She's this attractive, talented girl who's also intelligent and knows where she wants to go," Reid said. "I consider her a role model for my daughter". Her parents, Vincenzo and Valerie Barba, did not immediately respond to messages left on their answering machine and a letter left at their front door. A Fox publicist said the network would have no comment on the situation, and would not make any of the contestants available for interviews.

RACY STORY ON AMERICAN IDOL'S NAKED STAR ANTONELLA BARBA PULLED FROM FOX TV'S NEW YORK CITY STATION

American Idol's Antonella Barba Naked

Whether reporting on the latest Jack Bauer bind or Simon Cowell barb, the news teams at Fox affiliates are aces at pushing network synerge specially during sweeps. But Fox's New York City flagship, WNYW, dropped the ball last week on its American Idol tie-in. During Idol's Wednesday broadcast, a series of Fox 5 News promos breathlessly urged viewers to tune in at 10 p.m. for a report promising revealing photos of New Jersey Idol hopeful Antonella Barba. But as the newscast got under way, there was scant mention of Barba or the racy photos. It wasn't until 10:45 that anchor Rosanna Scotto said technical difficulties had scuttled the segment.Turns out Fox 5 spiked the Barba story in the name of democracy. According to a WNYW spokesperson, the station did not want to influence viewers who were still dialing and texting in their votes. (And this didn't occur to anyone before the station began plugging the story?) As for the photo which include a shot of Barba and friends topless at the beach, albeit with strategically placed hand they could be found online last week. Alas, none were available on Barba's MySpace page. With yet another News Corp. property in the mix, WNYW might've run the story and scored a cross-promotional trifecta.

NAKED WEB PHOTOS OF AMERICAN IDOL'S ANTONELLA BARBA SURFACE ON SITE

Racy Photos Of Antonella Barba

American Idol" contestant Antonella Barba , from Point Pleasant, N.J., may be in rocky waters after topless photos of her appeared on the Internet. With hands strategically placed, the young singer is shown in numerous sexy photos that don't reveal her completely in the nude, but the photos may go far enough to get booted from the show, People magazine reported. Barba's case is not the first like this that "American Idol" has seen. Season 2 finalist Frenchie Davis was thrown off the show after topless photos of her were posted on a porn Web site. Amanda Coluccio, who auditioned with Barba, ironically told People that Barba will "represent New Jersey in a classy way." The show's producer Nigel Lythgoe, told EW.com that he was unaware of the photographs. "We have really good background checks on everybody, and we deal with that every season," he said. "It's sad, isn't it, that your best friends are the ones that come forward with information that will go to Smoking Gun or put your photographs on the Web?"

COURTNEY'S LOVE'S 'AMERICA IDOL' HOAX

Courtney Love Gave Jimmy Kimmel Great Ratings

Courtney Love's invitation to become an 'American Idol' judge was a hoax. The former Hole singer proudly announced she had been contacted by the show's executive producer Nigel Lythgoe to join the judging panel on the hit TV show, but he denies making the call. Lythgoe said in a statement: "I did not call Courtney Love and am afraid someone may have misrepresented me."Courtney Love is a very talented artist, but the judges for 'American Idol' are Paula, Randy and Simon. We have no plans to add to or replace any of them."It was thought producers might be looking to replace Paula Abdul after she sparked concerns she is battling substance abuse. Fears were fuelled after she appeared in a series of interviews last month where she was seen swaying and slurring her words. Paula, who judges 'American Idol' along with Simon Cowell and Randy Jackson, recently revealed that while she has no plans to leave the show she is currently working on several other projects. Projects include a documentary about her life for TV network Bravo, producing a live-action film based on the Bratz dolls - and her love life. When asked what she looks for in a man, Paula replied: "The opposite from Simon."

I thought it was kind of weird but brilliant."It is not known if Courtney will be joining the existing three judges to choose America's next singing sensation, or if Lythgoe is considering replacing Paula.
