Pete Doherty says his friends "have had enough" of him being a drug addict. Speaking after a court appearance yesterday the Babyshambles frontman confessed he could lose the people closest to him if he does not kick his habit once and for all. Pete - who is engaged to supermodel Kate Moss - said: "The people I'm closest to have had enough. They've said it's drugs or them. A lot has changed in the past week."The 28-year-old rocker did not divulge whether his comments specifically related to Kate.The supermodel is said to have previously warned Pete that she would never marry him unless he stop using heroin and crack cocaine. Earlier this month, Pete confirmed the couple were engaged by publicly referring to Kate as his fiancée at a concert. Pete - who has had numerous court appearances for drugs-related offences - was praised by the judge for his commitment to stop using drugs.The rocker - who turned up at Thames Magistrates' Court 30 minutes late - admitted he was not free of drugs yet, but insisted he was determined to get clean. He said: "I'm quite keen to show a negative test as soon as possible really."District Judge Jane McIvor said: "There's no obligation for you to turn up to the reviews. The fact you've turned up shows cooperation, more than cooperation, and there is no risk of you breaching this order."

Pete has previously confessed to once turning to selling his body to feed his drugs habit. He said: "There was no shame, because I kind of knew they were just lonely p***ed-up old queens. A source told Scotland's Daily Record newspaper: "Pete started to mix the drug with a big silver crucifix hanging around his neck. As he was doing it,he quoted a passage from the Bible, saying, 'You are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church.' "Pete, who was performing at Glasgow's famous Barrowland Ballroom , allegedly wouldn't go on stage until all the drugs in the dressing room had been used. Homeless man David Cook claims the band gave him $2,000 to buy drugs for them last May. Cook said: "A member of the crew gave me money to buy heroin and cocaine. Pete shook my hand and thanked me for what I was doing. I was invited to join them backstage. There were lots of people there, most of whom were doing drugs."Pete refused to go on stage until the drugs were finished. He had to be dragged out."The 27-year-old rocker was recorded on a friend's mobile phone snorting what is thought to be a mixture of cocaine and horse tranquiliser ketamine, according to Britain's The People newspaper . In the footage, which was taken in January, one friend says: "You're doing them too big, Pete. It's dangerous - you need to calm down a bit, man."Shocking photographs were released last month showing Pete apparently injecting himself with cocaine during his Thai holiday with Kate.
