Veteran British actress Eileen Atkins deeply regrets revealing that Colin Farrell once tried to seduce her. The 72-year-old shocked the world two years ago by speaking about the romantic advances made by Farrell, 42 years her junior, in a hotel room. But Atkins has since grown so fond of the hunk, she wishes she had remained silent on the issue. She says, "I felt awful at exposing Colin -- I was so upset at appearing to tell tales out of school but Colin was adorable. "He sent me flowers, came to my first night in America, stood in my dressing room and said, 'I should be so lucky.' "I'm keeping schtum in future."

Colin Farrell is dating a failed British pop star wannabe. The Hollywood actor has been spotted on a series of secret dates with little-known blonde Nicola Ward, who turned down the chance to be part of hugely successful girl group Girls Aloud when she walked off British TV talent show 'Popstars: The Rivals' in 2002. She was replaced by red-head Nicola Roberts who is still enjoying pop stardom now. Ward, 24, who is now in a band called Cushh, has confirmed she is dating Farrell, 30.

She told Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper: "I've been out with Colin a couple of times, but it's early days so I don't want to say too much. We met randomly in Kilburn, North London, and he took my number. I didn't think in a million years he'd get in touch, so I was really surprised when he called. I enjoy his company and, yes, he's a real gentleman."'Miami Vice' star Farrell was in London filming his new movie 'Summer Project 2006', which is being directed by Woody Allen.The actor, who is renowned for his womanising ways, was once married to British actress Amelia Warner for a year and has a three-year-old son James, with ex-girlfriend Kim Bordenave. Farrell has previously been romantically linked with Angelina Jolie, BritneySpears and Lindsay Lohan.
