KNIGHT RIDER CAR 'KITT' UP FOR SALE

One of ten KITT'S for sale

The iconic KITT car from 'Knight Rider' has been put on sale. The modified black 1982 Pontiac Trans Am vehicle - made famous in the hit 80s TV show starring David Hasselhoff as Michael Knight - is available to buy for $152,000 from a California dealership. The 'talking' car - which could reach speeds of 300 mph, soar 50 feet in the air and throw smoke bombs in the show - has two working video screens on the dashboard. One is connected to a camera in the front of the car, while the other is linked to a DVD player with speakers hidden under the nose. KITT - which stands for Knight Industries Two Thousand - also has a glowing red scanner on the nose and colored buttons emblazoned with the words eject, rocket boost, oil slick and ski mode.Car dealer Johnny Verhoek admits most of the buttons don't actually do anything. KITT has a V8 engine and just 2,393 miles on the clock. It was one of the original Pontiac cars used in the show.Unfortunately KITT can't really speak or drive itself. The vehicle reportedly isn't even street legal, because it doesn't have smog equipment. This is the first time one of the 10 'Knight Rider' cars has been sold publicly, although two cars are on display at UK and US museums. It is thought the car will be bought by a private collector or a museum -chat show host Jay Leno is said to be interested.Tim Russo bought the car at a San Diego auction in 1997 and has spent the last decade sourcing parts to restore it - just in time for 'Knight Rider's' 25th debut anniversary.

CARMEN ELECTRA SNUBBED BY 'BAYWATCH'

Carmen Electra won't be in Baywatch Movie

Carmen Electra has been snubbed by the bosses of the 'Baywatch' movie. The sexy model-and-actress, who shot to fame in the hit lifeguard drama, has not been offered a cameo in the big screen adaptation of the hit TV show. Carmen - who starred in the US series alongside David Hasselhoff and Pamela Anderson - said: "I'm out. I've only heard about it through the press and nobody has contacted me to be in the film."I really enjoyed the reunion show we did through - it was fun to meet all the team again."Although Carmen, 34, has been overlooked for the film, Pamela has reportedly been offered a cameo role. The blonde actress, who played lifeguard C.J. Parker in the series, will make a guest appearance in the movie adaptation which will star a younger crop of beauties instead of the original cast. Producer Eli Roth said: "Pammie will do a cameo in the movie. But for the main cast, they want to go with a new crop of hotties. The other producers spoke to Pamela about it and she said she'd love to do a cameo. For me it wouldn't be Baywatch' without her"

DAVID HASSELHOFF DRESSES IN 'DRAG'

Drag Star David Hasselhoff

David Hasselhoff has started dressing in drag. The former 'Baywatch' actor is starring as cross-dressing director Roger DeBris in the Las Vegas production of hit Broadway musical 'The Producers' and is struggling with the costume. Hasselhoff said: "Now I know why women can't wait to get out of heels."I'll only wear the two inch pumps, if I wore the three inch I'd fall over like a giraffe."The actor also has to wear a 35lb beaded-gown for the part, along with a red wig. He added: "I look like Dennis Rodman on acid."Hasselhoff, 54, admits he was initially unsure about accepting the cross-dressing role. After deciding to play a transvestite, the actor realised most of his roles have been strange. He said: "I never thought I'd be talking to a car in 'Knight Rider' , or achieve syndication history with a crazy show like 'Baywatch'."Hasselhoff has decorated his dressing room backstage with life-size cut-outs and posters of himself in 'Baywatch' and 'Knight Rider'. He said: "I must be the most self-indulgent person to have this stuff. But I've got to market 'The Hoff'."

DAVID HASSELHOFF SEARCHES FOR HIMSELF

David Hasselhoff has admitted he searches for himself on the internet. The former 'Baywatch' actor - who is the most searched for person on the internet - is fully aware of his cult status and loves looking at websites that ridicule him as well as ones that pay homage to his career. He told Britain's Nuts magazine: "I spend a lot of time surfing the net looking at people having fun with me."Have you seen 'Wax on Wax Hoff'? Go to www.waxhoff.com and you can actually wax my chest hair. It's had six million hits. It's hysterical."Hasselhoff - who according to the 'Guinness Book of Records' is also the most-watched person on television - insists his fame is an "honor", even if people do poke fun at him. He added: "Anyone who complains about being a celebrity I laugh at. A real hero faces his problems and conquers them. It's an honor to have this level of credibility."Whether people make fun of it is not important. I have the respect of myself, my children and my parents. If you can say that then you should be a happy person."
