Nicole Kidman was hospitalised after being involved in a car crash on the set of her new film in the early hours of Thursday morning. The 39-year-old actress was shooting her latest film, sci-fi movie 'The Invasion', when her camera-rigged stunt car crashed into a light pole on set, in downtown Los Angeles.The accident occurred at around 1am when the stunt driver of the camera rig towing the Jaguar Nicole was sitting in skidded going round a corner at 45 mph, police said. Paramedics were called to the scene but were not required to transport anyone to hospital. Nicole was one of eight people subsequently taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center by private vehicle. She suffered no serious injuries and was released to return to the set later that day.Warner Bros. released a statement, saying: "Nicole Kidman was in the vehicle at the time of the accident and was taken to the hospital for evaluation. She was released shortly there after."The studio also announced that "two crew members sustained minor injuries as a result of the collision."The actress was shooting a scene in which her character is attempting to escape from zombie-like creatures clinging to the roof of her car.
