NICOLE RICHIE TO LAUNCH OWN PERFUME

Nicole Richie is set to launch her own perfume.The 25-year-old star revealed she has a number of exciting projects in the pipeline for when she finishes filming her reality show 'The Simple Life', including releasing a signature scent. She told Britain's OK! magazine: "I'm working on a style book, plus I'm launching a jewellery and accessories line, a sunglasses line and my own perfume."Nicole - who has been at the centre of eating disorder rumors - is also looking forward to a well-earned break after a stressful few months. She added: "I think I'm going to do some travelling. Summer is my favourite time of year, so hopefully I'll also find time to just relax by the beach. Last year, celebrity fragrances accounted for 23 per cent of the top 100 women's fragrances in the US. Nicole's friend Paris Hilton is among a host of stars, including Sarah Jessica Parker, Victoria and David Beckham, Britney Spears and Kylie Minogue, who have already released their own signature scent. Elizabeth Taylor was one of the first stars to launch her own perfume which has seen more than one billion sales since it hit shops 15 years ago.

CATHERINE ZETA JONES TO LAUNCH DESIGNER PERFUME

Catherine Zeta-Jones is set to launch her own perfume. An application has been made to register a trademark for a line of cosmetics in the name of the 'Ocean's Twelve' star. A source told Britain's Daily Express newspaper: "Catherine could be the most successful in a long line of celebrities who have launched their own beauty products. Most women would love to look as good as she does."As well as a signature scent other products Catherine could put her name to include hair care lotions, sun care products and deodorants.The 37-year-old mother-of-two, who is married to actor Michael Douglas, is already the face of cosmetics giant Elizabeth Arden, and has promoted some of their best selling perfumes, including 'Provocative Woman'. Last year, celebrity fragrances accounted for 23 per cent of the top 100 women's fragrances in the US.Stars who have released their own perfume include Sarah Jessica Parker, Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, Kylie Minogue and Victoria and David Beckham.
