Renée Zellweger's ex-husband Kenny Chesney has spoken out to deny rumors he is gay. Rumors began after Zellweger cited "fraud" as the reason for the pair's marriage annulment.Chesney said in an interview with '20 Minutes' : "It's not true. Period. Maybe I should have come out and said, 'No, I'm not gay,' but I didn't want to draw any more attention to it."I didn't have to prove to anybody that I wasn't gay. I didn't feel like Ireally did."The only fraud that was committed was me thinking that I knew what it was like that I really understood what it was like to be married, and I really didn't."Despite the confusion surrounding his sexuality, Chesney has no regrets about the marriage. He said: "We thought the least harmful stated reason was fraud because it is kind of broad doesn't specify."And boy we were wrong. But I don't regret our marriage at all. Not one bit."Even though I'd sit here and say I wish we'd gotten divorced instead of all that annulment stuff, and saved myself a lot of public humiliation. I still don't have any regrets. I loved her, and it was real."Zellweger and the 38-year-old country singer were married in the Virgin Islands in May 2005.The 37-year-old actress filed for an annulment four months later. Zellweger later issued a statement saying the term "fraud" was "simply legal language and not a reflection of Kenny's character."

Renee Zellweger is dating former 'Beverly Hills 90210' star Luke Perry.The couple were spotted sharing an intimate table at the Tower Bar restaurant at Los Angeles hotel Sunset Tower. A source told the New York Post newspaper: "They were definitely on a date.They both looked super-skinny. He was looking very grungy - baggy jeans,lumberjack flannel shirt and baseball cap. She had on a white button-downshirt, glasses and striped pants. They were talking very closely and rubbing knees."Renee has said her New Year's resolution is to sort out her love life. The actress admitted she wants to spend 2007 looking for love. She said: "My goals for the year are to concentrate on doing a better job of managing my personal life, to do lots of cooking and to focus on my cat!"In September 2005, Renee had her four-month marriage to country singer Kenny Chesney annulled by the Los Angeles Superior Court. Renée Zellweger would only reprise her role as Bridget Jones if she was personally asked by the book's author. Renée, who portrayed the ditzy character in 'Bridget Jones Diary' and 'Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason' , insists she will only get involved in the project if author Helen Fielding contacts her. She told Britain's OK! magazine: "I don't know if I would do it, it depends on many factors. First, Helen Fielding would have to ask me to come back and then there has to be a script that we can all agree on." The 37-year-old star insists she would be happy to gain a lot of weight again to play Bridget. Renée, who bulked up on the last two occasions by gorging herself on doughnuts and junk food - said: "I wouldn't have any problems with putting on weight again. I've said it before, I like it when I look a little more voluptuous. The weight issues would be the least of my concerns."
