SANDRA BULLOCK LOVES MOTHERHOOD

Sandra Bullock loves being a stepmother.The 'Premonition' actress, who has denied she is pregnant with her first child, says she is already experiencing motherhood through her relationship with husband Jesse James' three children from his previous marriages. Sandra told the magazine People : "I have children, amazing children. My love and my hopes for their future and their happiness, for their homework to be done and for them to know how smart and beautiful they are is no less than if they were my own biological children."I have my family, and it's the family that some higher power put in my path. I feel really lucky."Jesse and Sandra live together in California just minutes away from his first wife Karla and their children Chandler, 12, and nine-year-old Jesse Jr.The motorcycle tycoon's second wife Janine also lives close-by with his three-year-old daughter Sunny. Sandra has a philosophical approach when it comes to having her own children. She said: "If that's going to happen, that's exactly the way things are supposed to be, and it would be amazing. And if it didn't happen, then I'd know that it wasn't meant to be."

SANDRA BULLOCK EXPECTS HOSPITAL STAYS

There's one thing Sandra Bullock knows she can expect from her husband, Monster Garage host Jesse James. "There's always going to be hospital stays ... like twice a year at least, and I know that," Bullock, who stars in the new movie Premonition, tells TV's Extra . Preparing for the inevitable, she adds, "I have all the information for insurance always close by in a wallet or in a purse." Not that Bullock wasn't aware of what might happen when she first fell for James. "I knew what I was getting into. Within three months of our relationship, he wrecked a car at 120 mph and almost died." Having recently told InStyle magazine that before getting to know James, "I assumed he was a homophobic chauvinist, a bigot who kills people," Bullock, 42, reiterates for Extra that the false assumption "made me really sad in myself, given that I considered myself very open minded."

'MONSTER GARAGE' JESSE JAMES FINED

"Monster Garage" reality show host Jesse James has agreed to pay $271,250 for violating California's air quality laws by selling motorcycles that did not meet the state's strict emissions standards, authorities said Friday. His Long Beach motorcycle building shop, West Coast Choppers, sold more than 50 new or custom-built motorcycles between 1998 and 2005 that were not certified by the Air Resources Board, the agency said in a statement. As part of a settlement, the shop is building motorcycles that comply with emission standards, the board said. In a statement released Saturday, James said he offered to make all of his "non-compliant" motorcycles meet federal standards, but the state agency only was "interested in the cash settlement." "We hope that paying this money will bring to light that California has a flawed system when it comes to its clean air agencies and the policies and practices they use," James said. James is married to actress Sandra Bullock. His Discovery Channel series about customized vehicles aired for five seasons.
