Suri Cruise celebrated her first birthday in Louisiana the other day.Tom Cruise and his daughter flew to Shreveport, where his wife Katie Holmes is filming 'Mad Money', so the family could spend the milestone birthday together. A source told the New York Daily News newspaper: "Katie is already down there and Tom and Suri will be flying in. Katie, who is starring alongside Queen Latifa and Diane Keaton in the heist comedy, is said to have moved into an exclusive part of Shreveport while the movie is being filmed. She isn't the first Hollywood star to spend time in Shreveport - former couple Jude Law and Sienna Miller were also seen relaxing there recently. Meanwhile, Brooke Shields' daughter Grier also celebrated her first birthday the other day. Brooke originally wanted Grier and Suri to have a joint birthday party because they were born in the same hospital on the same day.The actress told Access Hollywood: "It's gone by so quickly. We're going to have a party this weekend."Grier will be treated to a Tweety Bird (Tweety Pie) themed party because Brooke says the cartoon character is similar to her daughter.

TOM CRUISE HAS A CELEBRITY STALKER

Tom Cruise could be the latest target of a celebrity stalker. Emily Diane Leatherman, 32, was arrested at 3.36pm on Thursday after turning up unannounced at Cruise's Beverly Hills home. Leatherman claimed that the 'Top Gun' star's staff had given her permission to meet him. John Cusack won a three-year restraining order against a woman with the same name and age last July, accusing her of showing an "unusual interest" in him.He claimed Leatherman threw love letters, rocks and screw drivers into his garden. Cusack also said Leatherman visited his home unannounced. At the time, Leatherman said she was trying to contact Hollywood stars like Cusack because she wanted to bring attention to the fact she was raped years ago.The Beverly Hills Police Department has refused to confirm if the person arrested on Thursday was the same woman who targeted Cusack. Leatherman was arrested at Cruise's home on suspicion of receiving stolen property and violating a restraining order. Sergeant Rex McEvoy refused to confirm what the items were or which restraining order she had violated. It is not known if Cruise and his wife Katie Holmes were at home when the incident happened.

Tom Cruise To Do Film On Attempted Assassination

Tom Cruise is set to star in a film based on the 1944 attempt to assassinate Nazi leader Adolf Hitler.The 'Mission: Impossible' actor was originally only going to produce the wartime thriller, but was convinced by director Bryan Singer to star in it as well.The film, which has yet to be given a title, focuses on the true story of a plot by German soldiers to kill the dictator.Tom's production partner said in a statement: "After reading the script, Tom and I knew immediately that this was a film we had to make. As an added bonus, because of Bryan Singer's involvement and Tom's admiration for him as a filmmaker, as well as the excellence of the script, the project attracted Tom as an actor."Tom is currently filming 'Lions For Lambs' with Meryl Streep and Robert Redford, due out at the end of the year.Tom's wife Katie Holmes is also about to return to work after taking time out to have their daughter, Suri. Katie will start filming crime comedy caper 'Mad Money' in April.

A source told Britain's Grazia magazine: "Katie looks like she has been moping about having to curtail her shopping sprees. She said Tom wants her to take a break as he thinks it might be sending out the wrong message."He certainly doesn't have to worry about money and Katie is not on a budget - it seems he just doesn't want people thinking she is frivolous and all about shopping and money."Katie, 28, was reported to have spent a staggering $200,000 at Beverly Hills' department store Barneys during a recent visit. She was seen visiting the store with good friend Victoria Beckham, the wife of millionaire soccer star David, and treated the former Spice Girl to two pairs of $500 shoes. A few days later, Katie was photographed carrying five bags of baby clothes for her and Tom's 11-month-old daughter Suri.
